.RARSAC was founded in 1972 to promote Sea Angling to the employees and visitors to the Royal Artillery Range on the Isle of Benbecula, in the
Outer Hebrides.
Since the privatisation of the Range during the 90‘s, the club has become a totally independent Sea Angling Club, which is affiliated with the
SFSA (Scottish Federation of Sea Anglers)
Membership of the club reached a peak of 100 in the mid eighties, but now has settled to a slightly more manageable 30 or so - so there is plenty of room for new members!
The club has regular weekly meetings in its clubroom ‘ The Anglers Retreat’, with a committee meeting held monthly.
Once a year we hold an Annual End of Season Prize Giving Dinner and Social evening
Our boat - The Javelin - is fully equipped in every respect and can cater for parties of up to 8 adults or children as well as the skipper and crewman.
Club trips are usually planned for every Sunday between April and October, with evening trips during the better weather in the summer months.
